Canadian innovation hub Decentral has revealed that iPhone-maker Apple has asked it to remove cryptocurrency Dash from its Jaxx interface.
CEO Anthony Di Iorio made the announcement on Twitter.
Apple just called. They want @Dashpay removed from @jaxx_io. Only some coins authorized for @AppStore. We're determining course of action.

Jaxx, a multi-plaform cryptocurrency wallet, completed integration with Dash – the speedy, open source, and decentralized digital currency rapidly growing in popularity – in August. Dash became the fourth cryptocurrency supported by Jaxx wallet.
Dash is currently among the top 10 cryptocurrencies with market capitalization around $77 million.
Ethereum Classic Integration
Anthony Di Iorio on Wednesday announced that in the coming days Jaxx will be releasing a major upgrade which will include full support for Ethereum Classic (ETC), including a simple way to split ETH / ETC right in Jaxx.
Ethereum Classic is currently the seventh highest blockchain token with market capitalization over $103 million.
“Adding ETC just makes sense for Jaxx: we’ve received tons of requests from both ETC fans and ETH fans and all those in between to provide integration. People need ways to store ETC outside of exchanges, and our customers (and I) need a simple way to split ETH as well as have an easy path to sell (via shapeshift), or manage their ETC. Soon they will be able to do so across 9 platforms and devices using Jaxx. The new release will be pushed in the next few days”, he said.
