It has been a while since Ubisoft announced that the next “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla” DLC would be titled “Siege of Paris.” The developer has yet to provide a release date, however, it appears that the information was briefly leaked on a digital store.
The Twitter page CriptAssassini received a screen-captured image for the “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – Siege of Paris” DLC on the digital store for Xbox consoles. But aside from the content’s synopsis, it also mentioned twice that the DLC will be released on Thursday, Aug. 5.

Unsurprisingly, the information has since been removed from the online store. The same Twitter page said the source of the image saw the advertisement as a pop-up message on the Xbox system. Fans should still take it with a grain of salt, though. Even though the information was spotted directly from Xbox, it could still be just a placeholder for the “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – Siege of Paris” expansion.
However, the actual release date of “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – Siege of Paris” may not be that far from Aug. 5. It is worth noting that the leaked release date lines up with Ubisoft’s earlier announcement. The developer said in a blog post last October that the second expansion, “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – Siege of Paris,” was planned to be released this summer.
Fans who purchased the Gold, Ultimate, and Collector’s editions of the game automatically have access to the Season Pass, which will then allow them to play “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – Siege of Paris” without additional cost. But for those who got the Standard Edition of the game they can still purchase the Season Pass separately for $39.99.
In the same October blog post, Ubisoft confirmed that the “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – Siege of Paris” expansion will let players explore the “the most ambitious battle in Viking history with key historical figures of war-torn Frankia.” But the more recent synopsis provided for the content more specifically says it will cover events during the reign of King Charles the Fat, suggesting that there would a few years of timeskip from what happened in the base game and the “Wrath of the Druids.”
