KeepKey, a Washington-based bitcoin hardware wallet provider, has partnered with the Vanbex Group, a leading Bitcoin 2.0 marketing and consulting firm, according to the press release published on CryptoCoinsNews.
KeepKey works with the bitcoin wallet software on the computer by taking over the management of private key generation, private key storage and transaction signing. The device and software, in the form of Chrome extension, do away with the nuances of securing a wallet and can be setup in minutes, the press release said.
KeepKey’s hardware-based random number generator and randomness provided by the computer, together generate the Bitcoin private key. Once a private key is generated, users are given the one-time opportunity to note down a backup of their KeepKey in the form of a 12-word recovery sentence, which gives them access to their money if their device is lost or stolen. Moreover, the private keys never leave the unit, reducing the possibility of theft.
“A hardware wallet like KeepKey is secure because it generates the private seed offline and guarantees that it remains offline”, said Darin Stanchfield, KeepKey CEO, in an interview with BTCManager.
In October, KeepKey released a new version of their KeepKey Chrome Wallet software.
The Vanbex Group was established in 2013 specializes in Business Development, Product Marketing, and Communications for Decentralized technology, Cryptocurrency, and Blockchain. It has partnered with KeepKey to build brand awareness and showcase the premium product to consumers everywhere.
