Bitwage Announces Release Of API, Hubstaff Integration, And Credit/Debit Card Payment Option

Bitwage, a US-based bitcoin payroll startup, has announced three new releases – the Bitwage API, the integration of the Bitwage API into Hubstaff’s time tracking software and credit card payments.

The Bitwage API will facilitate companies to integrate the full range of Bitwage solutions, thereby allowing them to offer more value added services to their customers. The company said that the API has been tested by various by various partners and hackathons.

Moreover, the integration of the Bitwage API into Hubstaff’s leading time tracking software will enable managers and payroll administrators to set up automatic employee payments using their credit/debit cards. Employers will be able to pay their employees on an hourly basis based on their time tracked, or they could setup a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly fixed rate. Hubstaff is a time tracking software with proof of work that supports Mac, Windows and Linux.

“Not only does this integration reduce the hassle of managing employee payments, it also ensures faster payments to your employees because Bitwage is able to transfer the money within one business day and in some cases, within hours as soon as the funds hit our Bitwage account”, said Jonathan Chester, Founder and President of Bitwage, in an online post.

In addition, Bitwage has released credit card payments, allowing employers to fund their payrolls with credit and debit cards. CoinDesk reported that users will be able to link their credit or debit card numbers to their Bitwage account, enabling them to choose that employee payment option in addition to bitcoin and traditional wire transfers. The option has a standard monthly limit of $500.

“After speaking with many of our customers, we realized that customers want to be able to build credit and credit card benefits while paying their international workforces. Because of this, we are proud to announce that Bitwage now allows employers to fund their payrolls with credit and debit cards!” said Chester.
