‘Boruto’ Episode 88 Air Date, Spoilers: Will Mitsuki Finally Act & Save His Friends?

While “Boruto” Episode 88 has been delayed and will be coming out next week, instead of the previous Sunday, there will likely still be some interesting developments coming up to keep fans engaged. For example, there is a possibility that the upcoming episode will finally see Mitsuki choose his friends over the puppets. Will Orochimaru’s child make the right choice?

As a lot of viewers might already be aware of by now, this current arc has been dragging on for far too long with very little in the way of interesting developments. Fans are hoping that “Boruto” Episode 88 will change that by essentially providing viewers with an episode where something engaging finally occurs. This comes at a timely instance, as well, since Boruto and his friends will be facing Kakou once again.

In their last fight, the battle puppet essentially killed himself by fighting beyond his time limit. During that time, team 10 could not even hold a candle to the artificial being, so it only makes sense that this will still be the case in “Boruto” Episode 88. When Boruto, Sarada, and Shikadai are in the most danger, Mitsuki might finally wake up and fight alongside them.

This would be a momentous story development, especially in this arc since it would prove that puppets can be strong even when they have things like loyalty and emotions. Ku and his cohorts are essentially trying to make a point that they are superior because they have no need for such things. Since Mitsuki is a similar being, his choice to fight in “Boruto” Episode 88 would throw a wrench into Ku’s machinations.

For those who are eagerly waiting for “Boruto” Episode 88 to air, they will only need to be patient until Jan. 6 to see the episode. At the very least, it’s one episode closer to ending the current arc.
