Seongsu Rose: A Celebration of Burberry's Heritage in South Korea
Known for its trendy cafes, thrift shops, and indie designers, Seongsu has established itself as Seoul's up-and-coming art district. It is within this vibrant neighborhood that Burberry has chosen to unveil its Seongsu Rose pop-up.
Celebrating Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee's debut collection, this latest chapter of Burberry Streets promises an unparalleled experience for fashion enthusiasts and art lovers, assured the L'Officiel.
At the heart of Seongsu Rose lies the English rose-inspired Petal Maze, a walk-through experience featuring the creative director Daniel Lee's inaugural collection for Burberry. The maze incorporates meticulously crafted sculpted shapes, including petals, stems, and leaves, beautifully illustrating the brand's latest Winter 2023 Collection.
Immersive Experiences, Fashion Showcased in Seongsu Area
Complementing the Petal Maze are two charming mini pop-ups, Seongsu Shoe and Seongsu Bottle, designed to provide visitors with curated experiences of Burberry's latest footwear products and hot water bottles. Norman's Cafe, a pop-up serving a delectable selection of British classics, adds to the overall immersive experience.
Seongsu Rose's opening witnessed the presence of several notable personalities, including Thai actor Bright Vachirawit, Seventeen's Wonwoo, renowned actor Lee Dong-wook, iconic singer Lee Hyo-ri, talented rapper Sik-K, as well as renowned Korean models Irene Kim and Sora Choi.
The Global Success of Burberry Streets
Burberry recently reported an impressive 18% increase in comparable store sales for the year's first quarter. This growth can be attributed to the strong underlying demand in various regions, including EMEIA, South Asia Pacific, Japan, and the recovery in Mainland China.
Originally launched in London during London Fashion Week, Burberry Streets has captivated audiences worldwide. With the introduction of Seongsu Rose, the brand's city takeover initiative continues to mesmerize fans with its unique blend of heritage, creativity, and innovation.
