Gatecoin, a regulated and secure financial institution for blockchain assets, has announced that it has listed Slock.it and DigixDAO tokens on its exchange platform, which can be traded against various fiat currencies, as well as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Augur.
DigixDAO is an organization that aims to create a new gold standard digital payments system on the Ethereum network. DigixDAO Token (DGD) is an Ethereum based asset that represents a portion of the DigixDAO.
Slock.it seeks to build the infrastructure of the sharing economy, allowing anyone to rent, sell or share anything without middleman.
Bitcoinist reported that the crowdsale of both DigixDAO tokens and Slock.it tokens was successful, adding that it was only a matter of time until the tokens of these two projects started showing up on exchanges.
“We see great potential for an increasing number of ‘blockchain assets’ such as DAO tokens for dapps being built on top of Ethereum, such as Slock.it and DigixDAO, which have tangible, real-world, disruptive potential. We are very proud to partner with both organizations as an additional gateway for token trading and hope this brings greater visibility and wider participation in their DAO”, said Gatecoin CEO and Co-founder Aurélien Menant.
Gatecoin is one of the early exchanges to be associated with Ethereum. It offered ETH trading in July 2015, much before Ethereum witnessed its tremendous growth. Bitcoinist noted that Gatecoin is still one of the top exchanges where ETH/BTC trading has been made possible.
