To honor Drees’ 90-year legacy, Drees Homes built 12 unique anniversary show homes, one in every Drees operating city. Each home exhibits nods to 1920s architectural history on the exterior and thoroughly modern, high-tech details on the interior. These show homes are well equipped with wide-ranging smart home technology, from voice-activated appliances to smart thermostats and security systems. Drees public anniversary home tour is now underway across the country.
Nashville’s anniversary show home, the Kinsley, features a 1920's inspired Tudor exterior paired with today's latest technology inside. Located at 405 Edenfield Pass, Nolensville, TN 37135 and open daily for tours through April 30th. Visit www.dreeshomes.com/90years for hours and directions.
Across the country, these tours will also feature a series of events on select Saturdays in March and April. The family-owned company is inviting the public to experience these homes and celebrate their 90th-anniversary milestone in a unique way.
- March 17 kicks off the special events with a St. Patrick’s Day theme all about testing your luck; with a chance to win $1,928 cash (as a nod to the year Drees was established) to KitchenAid® Mixer giveaways in each of the homes, and other fun ways to test your luck.
- March 24, locally renowned restaurants and their chefs will demonstrate and share tastes of signature fare with attendees at this foodie event.
- April 7 sets the tone for an old-school style birthday party in honor of Ralph Drees, as he turns 84 on this day. Birthday cake, free professional family portraits and a specially decorated selfie room will be a part of this weekend’s festivities.
- April 21, Drees welcomes their paint partner, PPG, who will present to attendees exactly how to use color masterfully in their own homes. This event will feature brief onsite consultations for those who have specific questions after each presentation.
“We’re very proud of the fact that we’ve been building homes for 90 years, and 4 generations of the Drees family,” said David Drees, President and CEO. “We wanted to celebrate our anniversary in a way that honors the past and looks to the future. These show homes are much more than just beautiful, their modern features have to be experienced. In addition to an exciting tour and events, we feel good about supporting local restaurants and businesses, as well as our nationally-known brand partners.”
