Huntsville, Alabama, Feb. 19, 2018 -- Videographers capable of safely filming explosions and editing together that video into a story should consider a current federal business opportunity. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is accepting offers from Women Owned Small Businesses who are interested and have this capability until February 23, 2018.
A branch of ATF, The National Center for Explosives Training and Research, is tasked with facilitating realistic explosive disposal and public safety at an event called Raven’s Challenge. The videographer would be documenting how these elements come together through an exchange of tools, techniques and procedures. The videographer should be able to use a variety of different cameras and styles including, but not limited to handheld cameras, fixed cameras, body worn cameras and drone mounted cameras. The final video once edited together, must be technically correct and capture the interest of the viewer.
The contractor will be awarded a one year contract, with options to extend the contract an additional two years if requirements are met and need is still available. The price that the contractor should offer to the government should consider a fixed daily rate (less than four hours of work) for each Technical Operations Specialist category. For further specifics on how to gain the attention of the contracting officer through well-structured, clear and concise proposal, the contractor may use a third-party service.
US Federal Contractor Registration (USFCR) covers all bases when it comes to federal contracting assistance. As the world’s largest third-party government registration firm, they register companies on their behalf in the System for Award Management (SAM). SAM is a requirement for all government contractors and can be tricky for a business to handle by themselves. They also mentor their clients throughout the process of actually submitting bids, making sure that their documents are all together, their relationship with the contracting officer is strong and their offer is solid. With the process of acquiring government work simplified, businesses can focus on their contract performance when they win the bid. Good performance is ultimately the key to building a lasting income source from the federal government.
