FED liftoff series – Decision day – watch out for dissenters
We are only few hours away from much anticipated FOMC decision. We expect, a 25 basis points hike in Federal fund rate, discount rates and 25 basis points hike in excess as well as required reserve. We also expects FED to announce overnight reverse repurchase agreement (RRP) to be operational and increase in its cap size from current $300 billion to $750 billion.

However, there is one last element, everyone needs to be watchful and that is dissenters.

Richmond FED president, Jeffrey Lacker have been dissenting for past few meetings of FOMC, calling for immediate rate hike.
