FINRA, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, will be hosting Blockchain Symposium that will take place on July 13 in New York City.
The FINRA’s Blockchain Symposium will bring together global regulators and blockchain industry leaders to discuss the use of blockchain, future opportunities that it holds and the challenges. The event is a half day symposium that comes as a result of blockchain attracting significant interest and funding in the financial services industry in recent years.
The symposium will look deep into the changes that are occurring or may occur in the future as a result of the implementation of blockchain technology applications in the financial industry. Also, the event will feature panel discussions of potential market and regulatory implications on such changes.
The Blockchain Symposium will see featured speakers who are experts from the industry. Speakers include Bethany (Beth) Dugan from Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Jennifer Peve from the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), Todd McDonald from R3 blockchain consortium, John Zecca from NASDAQ, Inc, among others.
The registration is ongoing and the tickets are priced for members and non-members, depending on attendees needs.
