FxWirePro: AUD/NZD struggles to breakout 'symmetric triangle pattern', capped below 100-DMA

  • AUD/NZD is attempting breakout above symmetric triangle pattern.

  • The pair finds stiff resistance by 100-DMA at 1.0507, break above will determine further impetus.

  • We then see scope for test of 1.06 levels.

  • Downside remains supported by 20-DMA at 1.0462, break below could see drag upto Triangle base at 1.04.

  • Support levels - 1.0466 (23.6% Fib of 1.0764 to 1.0374 fall), 1.0462 (20-DMA), 1.04 (triangle base)

  • Resistance levels - 1.05 (triangle top), 1.0507 (100-DMA), 1.0523 (38.2% Fib)

Recommendation: Watch for breakout of symmetric triangle to go long. We would see an opportunity for short on break below 20-DMA.
