- USD/JPY is currently trading around 109.49 marks.
- It made intraday high at 109.90 and low at 109.46 levels.
- Today BOJ governor Kuroda delivered opening remarks at the quarterly meeting of Bank of Japan’s branch managers.
- Kuroda reiterated on Thursday that the bank is willing to take action, be it further interest rate cuts or an expansion of the bank's asset-buying program, if needed.
- Kuroda said that the CPI was likely to hover around its current level of zero for some time before accelerating to 2%.
- Intraday bias remains bearish for the moment.
- Pair slips below 110.00 marks for the first time since October 2014 on the back of global uncertainties.
- A daily close below 109.62 will take the parity down towards 108.36, 107.66 and 107.43 levels.
- On the top side, key resistance levels are seen at 111.23, 112.60, 113.43, 113.98 and 114.28 marks.
