It has been that long since miHoYo officially announced the “Genshin Impact” patch 1.5 and the new features included in it. The first leaks for the future update have now appeared online, suggesting a new character will be introduced along with the possibility of exploring the islands of Inazuma.
‘Genshin Impact’ patch 1.6: What to expect
The increasingly popular action RPG is set in a world called Teyvat. It has been previously mentioned as composed of seven nations but, so far, players have only been able to explore two of them -- Mondstadt and Liyue. “Genshin Impact” patch 1.6 leaks suggest that it would focus on introducing the next playable map, Inazuma.
The Genshin Intel page on Instagram shared an overview of the Inazuma map that immediately shows how its terrain would be different from Mondstadt and Liyue, which should then affect the gameplay. Inazuma, on the other hand, appears to be an archipelago, which means it is composed of several islands.
Leaker Zluet added that the image does not yet show the entirety of Inazuma. Another leaker, Genshin Report, cited that the exploring Inazuma would start with Beidou and her fleet to help players “secretly enter the region.” But these would not be the only times players get to use boats in “Genshin Impact” version 1.6. The same sources tip that the opening on Inazuma will pave the way for the “re-introduction of boats,” which makes sense considering how the nation is built.
Players are also expected to meet the new character to be introduced in “Genshin Impact” patch 1.6 named Kiryu Kazuha. Per the details posted via Honey Hunter, Kazuha is a five-star character who comes from Inazuma and would use a sword-type weapon. Her in-game description says she is a samurai currently affiliated with the Liyue Crux Fleet.
‘Genshin Impact’ patch 1.5 release date
For now, though, most fans might be more focused on the arrival of “Genshin Impact” version 1.5. The next patch is confirmed to go live on Wednesday, April 28, at 6 a.m. (UTC+8) / Tuesday, April 27, at 6 p.m. EDT.
As revealed by previous leaks, “Genshin Impact’ patch 1.5 will introduce new playable characters, namely the five-star Eula and four-star Yanfei. Eula wields a claymore-type weapon, who is also the captain of Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company. Meanwhile, Yanfei is described as a brilliant woman who also works as a legal adviser in the Liyue Harbor.
