The Huawei P40 Pro release date will finally arrive in a couple of days. For fans who just can't wait, here’s what’s known so far about the Chinese brand’s latest flagship smartphone.
Slimmest bezels
The rear of the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro have already been leaked extensively so fans already know how the phone looks at the back. The gadget’s front design, however, is not as covered by most leaks.
Thankfully, a recent leak just posted high-quality renders showing the phone’s front finally giving fans a clearer picture of how the phone would look like. The renders were posted by Evan Blass who is a leaker with a solid track record, according to Tech Radar.
The image shows the front of both the Huawei P40 and the Huawei P40 Pro. The most noticeable difference between the two phones is that the Pro version hardly has any bezel at all.
Designers have been looking for ways to minimize the bezels on newer phone models. It looks like the Huawei P40 Pro designers did a pretty good job in that area as the phone seems to have even less bezel compared to the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.
Mobile photography
The upcoming Huawei P40 series is expected to raise the bar when it comes to its camera package. According to GSM Arena, the new flagship will “guarantee new records” when it comes to mobile photography.
It will arrive with an all-new 50MP RYYB sensor and will have better zooming capabilities than its predecessor. A Huawei executive reportedly said that the company “invested a lot in this tech and wouldn’t want it to go to waste.
Aside from its new sensor, the Huawei's flagship P40 series will be powered by the Kirin 990 5G chipset. It will feature an OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz assuring smoother visuals.
Release date and price
The Huawei P40 series’ release date is on March 26. There are reportedly five available, the Huawei P40, the Huawei P40 Pro, the P40 Pro Premium, the P40 Lite, and the P40 lite E.
The company has not yet revealed their pricing but Tech Radar says that the newer phones will likely match the price of the P30 upon launch. The P30 was priced $910 at launch while the P30 Pro carried a price tag of $1,140.
