Ivanka Trump and Melania Trump received threats on social media after Donald Trump ordered the strike that killed Iran’s general Qassem Soleimani. The threats reportedly came from the late general’s followers who were angered at the President for orchestrating the strike, according to Express.
Followers of the slain general took to social media to issue threats of revenge and retaliation to Donald Trump and his family. Among those who were targeted online are his daughter Ivanka Trump and his wife Melania Trump.
One of the threats was posted as a comment to a picture of Ivanka Trump with her husband Jared Kushner on Instagram. “Prepare your coffins,” the comment said.
One user threatened not only Donald Trump’s family but every American as well. “We will explode many American target all of the world, even in your country,” the threatening comment said.
Another Instagram user threatened Donald Trump via Ivanka ‘s social media account. “This is the last picture of you that your father is alive,” a user commented on her social media account. “Prepare yourself for mourning.”
Some of the threatening posts were even written in Persian and mentioned the late generals’ name, according to Express. This suggests that they were done by followers of Qassem Soleimani.
Threatening comments were also posted on a photo Ivanka shared on Instagram to greet her brother Donald Trump Jr which shows her and her siblings when they were still children. “We will take vengeance,” the threatening message said. “We are all Qassem Suleimani.”
Another comment spoke of revenge that is yet to come. “Wait for revenge,” a supporter for the slain general posted on social media. “Prepare your coffins. Revenge is coming.”
Many of the posts had messages saying “down with the USA.” Many of the comments also used the punching fists and Iranian flag emojis.
Melania Trump also received her share of threats on social media. Most comments were made on her “Be Best” initiative posts and carry the #DownwithAmerica hashtag as well as Iranian flags.
“God willing, we'll revenge General Soleimani on you,” a user commented on one of the photos shared by Melania Trump. “Wait for the one that kills you.”
As expected, even President Trump's Instagram posts have been targeted with hateful posts as well. “You have prepared your graves,” someone posted on the POTUS’s account.
“Congratulations on your son's birthday,” another user commented, referring to Donald Jr.’s birthday. “We will send your soldiers' heads as gifts.”
