It has been a year since Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux got separated. Recently, the “The Spy Who Dumped Me” star sparked dating rumors after being spotted with actress-model Elizabeth Hurley in Morocco. Meanwhile, there are reports claiming that the “Dumplin’” actress has started going on dates as well.
Theroux posed for pictures with Hurley while gracing the ABB FIA Formula E 2019 Marrakesh E-Prix over the weekend. Us Weekly reported that Aniston’s ex also attended two other events including a cocktail party last Friday with Hurley.
The same report tiptoed about Theroux and Hurley’s status by only labeling them as “new BFFs.” On the other hand, Radar Online jumped the gun and reported that this could be a “possible new romance” for Aniston’s ex-husband.
Meanwhile, a Life & Style magazine (via Daily Mail) source claimed that Jennifer Aniston is back on the dating scene a year after the split from Justin Theroux. “She knows that whomever she chooses, the gossip will be relentless, but she says she's actually OK with that,” the same insider added. “Her reasoning is that if she [goes] alone, they'll still talk... so why not give them something to talk about?”
However, a spokesperson of the “Friends” alum denied the report telling The Sun that the story was a “complete fabrication.” The Life & Style source makes it sound like Aniston is desperate to find a man after parting ways with Theroux. But, considering the comment from her representative, it seems like her previous statement to InStyle is still very much accurate. “The misconceptions are ‘Jen can’t keep a man’ … Or that I’m sad and heartbroken. First, with all due respect, I’m not heartbroken. And second, those are reckless assumptions,” Aniston explained.
Despite the rumors that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux had a bitter breakup, the latter reiterated in an interview with the New York Times that they have remained friends. “It was heartbreaking only in the sense that the friendship would not be the same, as far as just the day to day. But the friendship is shifting and changing, you know, so that part is something that we’re both very proud of,” Theroux said.
