Krispy Kreme will offer first responders a free small coffee and doughnut on October 28 to celebrate First Responders Day. The tribute, available in-store and drive-thru, honors the dedication of paramedics, EMTs, firefighters, police officers, and 911 operators nationwide.
Krispy Kreme Honors First Responders and Continues Legacy of Community Support on Special Days
Krispy Kreme is honoring First Responders Day by giving back to those who dedicate their lives to serving their communities. In a gesture of appreciation, the popular doughnut chain offers first responders a complimentary small coffee, hot or iced, and a doughnut of their choice in-store or at the drive-thru, with no purchase required, on October 28. However, the offer excludes doughnuts from the Krispy Kreme x Ghostbusters collaboration. First, responders are limited to one free doughnut.
First Responders Day, recognized by Congress in 2017, pays tribute each October 28 to paramedics, EMTs, firefighters, police officers, and 911 operators. Krispy Kreme’s acknowledgment of these individuals' contributions aligns with its tradition of community givebacks. In the past, the chain has provided free treats to students for academic achievements, supported those affected by global events, and encouraged voter participation by offering treats on Super Tuesday. Over the years, Krispy Kreme has also marked numerous holidays with special offers, including Independence Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and lesser-known celebrations like National Coffee Day and National Doughnut Day.
Krispy Kreme Celebrates Halloween with Free Doughnuts, Ghostbusters Collaboration, and Fall-Inspired Flavors
For Halloween 2024, Krispy Kreme is again joining the festivities, giving out free glazed doughnuts to customers who show up in costume, with no purchase necessary. The brand also features seasonal doughnuts this Halloween, including a Ghostbusters-themed collection. The lineup includes the Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut, Ecto-Sprinkled Doughnut, Slimer Doughnut, and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Doughnut, which comes with a marshmallow-filled center. The collaboration also includes Slimer’s Slime-ade, a green lemonade twist. These items will be available through Halloween.
Adding to the seasonal spirit, Krispy Kreme has also introduced fall-inspired flavors this year, featuring the Maple Buttercreme Doughnut, Oatmeal Kreme Pie Doughnut, and Salted Caramel Cheesecake Doughnut, along with the return of the Spiced Apple Filled Doughnut, a fan favorite.
