Hashed Health, a blockchain-based healthcare innovation company for transformation in the healthcare industry, has announced the joining of Lipscomb University’s College of Pharmacy to its consortium. This marks the first academic organization to join the blockchain-based health consortium.
By joining Hashed Health, Lipscomb’s College of Pharmacy is partnering to educate, innovate and build healthcare technology solutions on blockchain platforms. This partnership marks the university’s entry into the blockchain space by inculcating blockchain technology to its curriculum and classes.
“We see tremendous opportunity to update and streamline pharmacy operations through the blockchain. This partnership is a stepping stone into leveraging the blockchain and distributed ledger technology to be at the forefront of healthcare improvements,” Roger Davis, Dean of the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences at Lipscomb University, said.
The College of Pharmacy’s vision to manage healthcare data will be supported by joining Hashed Health. Lipscomb’s College of Pharmacy became the first collage of Pharmacy in the nation earlier this year in order to offer student pharmacists a competitive edge for the future by providing full access to IBM Watson Analytics for smart data discovery.
“Our goal for Hashed Health is to redefine how people including students view healthcare technology,” said John Bass, CEO of Hashed Health. “With the combination of Hashed Health’s expertise on the intersection of healthcare and blockchain technology, and the research capability of Lipscomb University’ College of Pharmacy, we are driving the next revolution in healthcare.”
