“Mortal Kombat 11” will be adding the Terminator on Oct. 8, and players are itching to get their hands on the android. However, some have already scratched this itch through early-access builds resulting in the reveal of the anti-hero’s story.
For anyone who doesn’t want to get the ending ruined, turn back now. As for the rest, let’s dive right into what sort of conclusion “Mortal Kombat 11” gave to this iconic character.
As it turns out, the arrival of the T-800 in the “Mortal Kombat 11” universe was nothing more than a freaking accident. With the android built with a single-minded desire, the Terminator quickly deduced that the best way to get back on track is to acquire Kronika’s hourglass, Comicbook reported.
Mortal Kombat 11 missed a golden opportunity
After dealing with the main antagonist of “Mortal Kombat 11”, the android used the hourglass to destroy humanity and give rise to its brethren. Unfortunately, no matter how the Terminator altered history, the fate of the opposing factions ended the same way, with both humans and machines getting wiped off the face of the Earth. Thus, the android chose a timeline where humans and machines worked together instead, avoiding the costly war that would’ve ended the existence of both factions.
The Terminator also realized that the information he’s harboring within him is dangerous and decides to throw himself in the Sea of Blood, taking to his grave the dangerous secret. While this “Mortal Kombat 11” ending has been satisfying for most of the player base, some are wondering why NetherRealms decided not to give the Terminator his iconic thumbs-up gesture that was seen in the film. After all, everything was set up for the scene anyway.
Mortal Kombat 11 is promoting two upcoming movies
Meanwhile, “Mortal Kombat 11” will also bring new cool new skins for Sonya Blade and Cassie Cage. The former has been given Sarah Connor’s outfit from the movie “Terminator 2,” while the latter has been dolled up as Harley Quinn. It’s easy to deduce that both the skins are Warner Bros. attempt at a marketing stunt as “Terminator: Dark Fate” will be coming out on Oct. 23, while “Birds of Prey” will come out on Feb. 7, 2020.
