The Meta Liberation Army was previously mentioned in the manga series, but it was not until this new and current arc that the threat they pose was realized. “My Hero Academia” chapter 219, technically the second installment of the new storyline, might further introduce this villainous organization.
Chapter 218 started in a fairly laid-back setting with the students going on a break after the Joint Training. However, it ended rather dark especially after the introduction of the Meta Liberation Army as well as the cryptic and vicious CEO of the Detnerat Company. He obviously has a much deeper connection to Destro, the founder of the original Meta Liberation Army, and manga readers might see him again in “My Hero Academia” chapter 219 and in the future chapters.
At the moment, the official title of the story arc where the “My Hero Academia” chapter 219 belongs is still under wraps. However, the build up to Destro’s principles and the villain organization he formed clearly suggests they will have a much bigger role in the new arc.
The Meta Liberation Army believes that there should not be any limits in using Quirks. Realistically, however, any superhero franchise showed that not everyone with a special power is a good guy. Like poor Miyashita said, the villain organization leaned on using their abilities to acts of terrorism sacrificing innocent lives. Manga fans can then expect upcoming chaos with the rise of this movement that might begin in “My Hero Academia” chapter 219.
Meanwhile, Todoroki and Bakugou have already used their provisional hero licenses in the previous chapter to respond to a band of thieving villains. The two protagonists are obviously thrilled to be able to act as real heroes this early. Chapter 218 ended with the fight just at the beginning, so this “two heroes’ first battle” will certainly proceed in “My Hero Academia” chapter 219.
The masked villain that Bakugou and Todoroki will face seems like a small-time baddie. However, fans are hoping that he will later become an important character in the new arc. “My Hero Academia” chapter 219 is slated to be released on March 11.
