“NCIS” season 16 episode 13 is finally coming back after another two-week hiatus. The show last aired on Jan. 15 with “The Last Link” episode then it went off-air again and CBS decided to air “Celebrity Big Brother” instead. The sudden change in programming sparked rumors that the series is set to be replaced by the said reality show and fans are upset at the prospect.
But then, fans can calm down now because it was announced that “NCIS” season 16 episode 13 is returning on its regular timeslot. The upcoming chapter is titled “She” and as shared on Screen Spy, its synopsis reads: “After a malnourished and confused 9-year-old is found hiding in a storage unit, NCIS reopens an old missing person case when the girl is believed to be the daughter of a Navy recruit who disappeared 10 years ago.”
In addition, “Bishop discovers notes that Special Agent Ziva David kept on the case long after NCIS officially stopped investigating.”
Based on the summary of “NCIS” season 16 episode 13, it seems that the viewers will see Detective Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) again since she is involved in the case that Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the rest of the NCIS team will re-investigate as new leads to the unsolved case surfaced after finding a girl in an unexpected place. However, fans had to wait until next week to see if the detective is really returning to rejoin the cast.
Cote De Pablo was last seen in the show in season 11 episode 2 titled “Past, Present and Future” which aired in October 2013. It has been a long time and fans will surely appreciate it if she will reappear again in “NCIS” season 16 episode 13 even in flashbacks only.
In any case, “NCIS” season 16 episode 13 will pick up from “The Last Link” episode where Jethro Gibbs went on a road trip to his hometown after getting a request from an old friend who became distant after a falling out. They will search for a missing military ID bracelet and it is possible that the duo unexpectedly found the girl while looking around.
“NCIS” season 16 episode 13 is set to return on Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
