Video game company Nintendo is joining the Black Friday festivities and is offering up to 50 percent discounts on popular Nintendo Switch games. But Nintendo is seemingly trying to do better than other retailers by extending its special deals even after Cyber Monday.
Nintendo Switch games on sale at the Nintendo eShop
Owners of Nintendo Switch who are looking to expand their games library are lucky this season because they have the option to do so before, during, and even after Black Friday. The chance to skip the long lines at physical stores is a bonus point since the discount deals can be purchased online.
“The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” was the primary launch game for Nintendo Switch. But gamers who are new to the party might still be needing their copy of the game. It is currently on sale for $41.99 instead of $59.99. Other titles that would look good in a Nintendo Switch collection like “Divinity: Original Sin 2” Definitive Edition and the Legendary Edition of “Overwatch” are now available for $10 less than their original prices.
Some of the biggest games that launched on Nintendo Switch are also on sale for 50 percent off the regular price. “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” and “DOOM” are currently available for $29.99. Both titles retail for $59.99 on a regular day.
Avid “Super Mario” fans would have a field day online shopping for Nintendo Switch games from the classic video game franchise. “Super Mario Party,” “New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe,” and “Mario Tennis Aces” are now priced at $41.99 from $59.99 while “Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020” now only costs $49.99 after a $10 discount.
Fans can avail of all these holiday discounts for Nintendo Switch games and many more titles at the eShop. Promos run until Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 11:59 p.m. PT.
Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals
It should also be noted that major retailers are offering Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals online and in-store. The flagship promo this year is a free base game copy of “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” when purchasing the early version of Nintendo Switch for $299.99.
Various retailers will also offer discounted physical copies of Nintendo Switch games. Meanwhile, Best Buy will have special offers on Joy-Con controllers during Black Friday until supplies are available.
