One of the more recent trends in the video games industry is the offering of Season or Year Pass. And “Rainbow Six Siege” has been one of the titles that have had strong content updates and roadmap ever since it was released in late 2015. Now, players are close to ending the game’s Year 4 with its fourth seasonal update expected to go live in the coming months.
The consistency in the gameplay updates that Ubisoft offers to “Rainbow Six Siege” players is likely what makes the game still feel complete despite being in the market for around four years. Like in earlier updates, Year 4 Season 4 is expected to have two new Operators along with several gameplay changes and improvements.
‘Rainbow Six Siege’ Year 4 Season 4: Operators, Map rework details
The highlight of this update, as expected, will be the two new Operators from Kenya and India. However, their identities and skills are still top-secret because “Rainbow Six Siege: Ember Rise” has just been released for a few weeks. But these characters will likely appear in some information leaks sometime next month.
Players enjoying “Rainbow Six Siege: Ember Rise” are likely wondering why the Theme Park map was removed from the rotation on all playlists. That is because it is due for a reword in the Year 4 Season 4 update. There is also going to be a mid-season event for the final Year 4 update.
‘Rainbow Six Siege’ final 2019 updates, release date
It also would not hurt to anticipate major changes in the Playlists system in “Rainbow Six Siege” Year 4 Season 4. Note that Ubisoft introduced the Unranked Playlist in “Ember Rise,” so at the very list, updates are in order, and the best case would be having a new matchmaking scheme.
Ubisoft also uses the seasonal updates to issue major balancing changes on all Operators released since the first year. Developers also tweak the rules on player behavior to discourage “Rainbow Six Siege” gamers from prematurely leaving a match or being idle while a game is ongoing.
Since 2016, the fourth-season updates of every year were released in early December. It is then very possible for Ubisoft to follow the same timeline for “Rainbow Six Siege” Year 4 Season 4.
