Renault Korea Motors said on Sunday, Sept. 3, that it has appointed a new sales and marketing division chief as it revamps the team. The South Korean subsidiary of Renault S.A. explained that it hired a new leader for the sales and marketing unit with the aim of building up the brand’s market presence and strengthening its position in the local market.
According to The Korea Herald, Renault Korea named Emmanuel Al-Nawakil as the new head of its sales and marketing. Prior to this appointment, he was the vice president of sales and operations at Alpine, Renault's performance brand. In this position, he was recognized for his work in leading the company's growth.
He also worked for the Volkswagen Group and Groupe PSA before moving to Alpine. His track record for driving sales in these major automotive firms was also impressive.
As the new leader of Renault Korea’s sales and marketing, Al-Nawakil is expected to apply his extensive experience and expertise in the business to fulfill his role and improve the company’s sales and market presence.
“We recognize the challenges we’ve faced in recent times, and I am excited to have a new sales and marketing leadership team to lead our commercial goals,” Stephane Deblaise, the chief executive officer of Renault Korea, said after appointing new leaders. “Now we have built up a new stronger marketing team that leads customer-centric campaigns and creative brand and product strategies creating synergy with the senior director of sales and network, and the new chief marketing officer on the process to the post.”
The CEO added, "I am confident that Renault Korea Motors will regain our competitive edge and accelerate the journey toward a thriving automotive tech company."
Renault Korea also announced other new executive leaders, and they are Lim Dong Kun, the new chief of product strategy operation, Lee Won Seon, head of marketing communication, Ha Eun Young, head of brand strategy, and Park Hae Jung, the new chief of performance and E-commerce, Korea Joongang Daily reported.
