In celebration of Earth Day, Rivian has launched a $5,000 trade-in offer, enticing car owners to switch from select gasoline vehicles to its eco-friendly electric models, the R1T and R1S. The deal includes a year of free charging, underscoring Rivian's commitment to sustainability.
Rivian Marks Earth Day with Exclusive Offers: Up to $5,000 Off and Free Charging for Electric Vehicle Swaps
In a recent report by Teslarati, Rivian emailed prospective customers on April 22 about the "Electric Upgrade" offer, which includes a $5,000 gas trade-in discount and one year of free charging on the Rivian Adventure Network (RAN).
“Today is Earth Day—a time to celebrate the planet we call home and think about ways to preserve it for generations to come,” Rivian wrote in the email. “We want to help you get into a more environmentally friendly, zero-emissions Rivian vehicle.”
“Starting today, take advantage of our limited-time Electric Upgrade Offer and you could get a discount of up to $5,000 on a qualifying new R1 when you trade in select gas-powered vehicles. Plus, you’ll also get one year of charging on the Rivian Adventure Network (powered by 100% renewable energy) at no additional cost.”
The deal is presently available to residents of the United States and Canada who buy or lease a new Rivian R1 between April 22 and June 30. Additionally, the deal is limited to the following R1 configurations:
- R1T Standard, Standard+ Pack – $3,000 / $4,500 CAD
- R1T Large Pack – $4,000 / $6,000 CAD
- R1T Max Pack – $5,000 / $7,500 CAD
- R1S Large Pack – $1,000 / $1,500 CAD
Rivian celebrated hitting a milestone of 100,000 automobiles made at its facility in Normal, Illinois, after unveiling its future R2 and R3 vehicles last month.
