With the sales of Apple’s latest offerings iPhone 6S and 6S Plus breaking all records, the gadget war is likely to enter a new phase early next year. Reports have surfaced that suggest Samsung Galaxy S7 will be launched in January 2016.
Korean news source ETNews reported that the new smartphone will launch officially in January – probably the 19th – and that there should be both a “premium” and a “sub-premium” variant, Android Authority said.
Also, several rumors suggest Galaxy 7 to have the following specifications:
- Magnesium Alloy body
- A new Exynos 8890 chipset, with 2.3GHz as the final target and Snapdragon 820 powering some variants
- Fast UFS 2.0 storage, while the company might have found a way to make it work with SD cards
- A new 20-megapixel ISOCELL camera, and also a project called the “all lens cover”
- Two different screen sizes: 5.2-inch and 5.8-inch display
Moreover, based on one of the latest Samsung patent that suggest “trapezoid” shaped phone, 3DFuture studio has come up with a brand new concept images showing the new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge for 2016 with revised edges.
