“Veep” Season 7 has been confirmed to be the last of the series. It will now sign off after being on air for seven long years on HBO. Also, the finale will end quickly because it will feature fewer episodes compared to the previous ones.
According to The Wrap, rather than the normal range of 10 episodes, “Veep” season 7 will feature a total of seven stories. The reason for the decrease in number is not clear and HBO refused to offer any explanations as well.
In any case, “Veep season 7 has been delayed a bit and this was due to the show’s lead star Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s health. She was diagnosed with breast cancer so the filming did not start last year as originally planned. As per TV Line, the 58-year-old actress took a break and used the time off to get treatment. Fortunately, she was able to overcome her illness and in fact, she went back to work after getting an all-clear from her doctors.
It was learned that Julia Louis-Dreyfus learned about her cancer not long after receiving her sixth Emmy award for “Veep.” After her diagnosis, she informed the fans about her health condition through social media. She also deemed it proper to let everyone know since many are already waiting for “Veep season 7.
“1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I’m the one,” she wrote. “The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring friends, and fantastic insurance through my union.”
Incidentally, the actress was able to get back to work and completed the filming for “Veep” season 7. Based on the information, the shoot started in August 2018. It has been confirmed to premiere on April 16 at 10:30 p.m. on HBO. Definitely, avid viewers must not miss the show’s finale.
