Las Vegas, NV, March 02, 2018 -- Yorktel, a global leader in video cloud and managed services for government, enterprise and healthcare organizations will showcase its Univago Healthcare Edition (Univago HE™) platform for the first time at the HIMSS 2018 Conference. In addition to providing conference attendees with an opportunity to experience the platform-as-a-service first hand, Yorktel is rolling out a number of new advancements that extend Univago HE’s capabilities and underscore the ease with which it can be integrated with third party applications and solutions.

Among the new features and functionalities that will be on display at Yorktel’s booth (#3874) are new mobile cart hardware, interpretation services provided through a partnership with InDemand, support for family visits and robust new data analytics and reporting. The addition of these new capabilities demonstrates the versatility of the platform, as well as the fact that it represents an end-to-end solution inclusive of purpose-built telehealth endpoints.
“We created Univago HE because we saw a clear and compelling need for a comprehensive, reliable and scalable solution to real world telemedicine needs,” said Bin Guan, chief technology officer of Yorktel. “The addition of these new elements so soon after launch demonstrates our commitment to incrementally extending the platform’s capabilities based on the specific needs of clinicians, patients and healthcare systems. What’s more, it illustrates to partners and developers just how simple and seamless we have made the process of integrating with our API.”
Yorktel developed Univago HE with the goal of eliminating the common barriers to widespread telemedicine adoption. Critical to achieving that objective is the ability to work with partners to ensure that the API integration experience is optimized specifically for their particular applications.
Yorktel offers a quick implementation option that allows clinicians to launch a call on their local, preferred browsers, enabling a telehealth program to be up and running within days. A more robust, full implementation allows partners to embed Univago HE in a chromium iframe within their telehealth software application for a seamless look and feel. While Univago HE does not store any specific patient data, it enables the secure transmission of such data for real-time display to clinicians during the call as needed.
Univago HE is the first and only all-inclusive telemedicine services platform that delivers the versatility, reliability and security vital to a broad range of telemedicine applications. An extension of Yorktel’s proven Univago™ video services platform, Univago HE was created to help healthcare providers streamline and simplify video collaboration and improve patient outcomes by enabling clinicians to focus on the delivery of quality care without having to worry about the complexity or reliability of telemedicine technology.
The fully managed, subscription-based service offers comprehensive monitoring, with continuous self‑diagnostics that identify potential technical issues and corrects them before they impact clinicians or patient care. Remote management tools optimize service and support, enabling maximum uptime and minimal intervention by healthcare IT staff.
Univago HE features an extensible architecture, allowing healthcare organizations to leverage a single platform across multiple telemedicine workflows. The common user interface eliminates user confusion and speeds adoption, while providing a degree of flexibility to facilitate the personal preferences of individual users. Its support for open standards and multiple protocols provides for seamless interoperability with traditional standards based videoconferencing systems, including Skype for Business and WebRTC browsers. Support for APIs and SDKs enable integration with a range of telemedicine applications and workflows including electronic medical records.
