I am currently a postgraduate researcher in Intellectual Property Law at the University of Liverpool. My thesis is entitled 'Experimenting with the Experimental Use Exception: An Empirical Evaluation into its Impact on Follow-on Innovation of Biotechnological Research Tools within Academia.’ My research focuses on genetic editing technology such as CRISPR and empirically examines the potential market failures caused by the patenting of upstream biotechnological research tools.
My research interests include biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and the intersection between competition and intellectual property law.
