Il dirige aux PUG (Presses universitaires de Grenble) les collections "Politique en Plus" et "Libres cours Politique".
Il travaille sur la sociologie de l’opinion et des valeurs, sur les comportements électoraux, sur les attitudes religieuses en France et en Europe, sur l'histoire et la méthodologie des enquêtes quantitatives.
