21 Inc, a bitcoin start-up, has recently announced that it will be sponsoring the upcoming Bitcoin Job Fair in Sunnyvale, California, on 18th April.
This makes the start-up join the list of frequent industry event sponsors like BitPay, BitGo, ShapeShift and ChangeTip, which will be supporting the annual event, produced by FinTech accelerator Plug and Play Tech Center and cryptocurrency job posting resource Coinality.
Scott Robinson, director of Plug and Play, said that he expects this year's Bitcoin Job Fair to witness a comparable audience to last year's event, which saw participation from nearly 30 start-ups and 400 attendees.
He further said that this year's iteration of the event, however, will probably reflect recent transformation in the space, with more jobs coming from a smaller group of well-capitalized industry participants.
"Last year, there was a larger emphasis on engineers and developers, I think this year it has widened. You see a lot more marketing and business development opportunities, because they can afford to pay somebody with those responsibilities", he told CoinDesk.
