24X Bermuda Limited said Standard Chartered took liquidity from Wintermute in a Bitcoin (BTC) spot trade, the platform’s second reported such trade involving the bank.
24X disclosed the deal on Oct. 19 without specifying its execution date or time. It gave no trade size, price or settlement details.
Cumberland DRW supplied liquidity for an earlier Standard Chartered trade that 24X announced Sept. 1. The company described that transaction as its first reported Bitcoin spot trade, but did not say when it occurred.
Standard Chartered began offering institutional clients spot trading in Bitcoin and Ether (ETH) through its UK branch in July 2025. The bank said clients could access the service through interfaces connected to its foreign exchange platforms.
The Bermuda Monetary Authority lists operating a digital asset exchange among 24X’s permitted activities. Its Class T digital asset business license took effect Aug. 5, 2026, and expires Aug. 4, 2027. The regulator describes Class T as a license for testing a proof of concept.
