The Aam Aadmi Party announced its first candidate list for Punjab’s 2027 Legislative Assembly election, TV9 Punjabi and NDTV reported, citing the party’s announcement.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) lists 117 seats in the state Assembly and gives March 16, 2027, as the end of the current house’s term.
NDTV reported that the ECI had not announced the election schedule as of Oct. 31. The outlet said polling was expected around February or March 2027; that window is a projection, not a confirmed date.
