An ACE Equity screen cited by ETMarkets.com placed Laurus Labs first among eight stocks in India’s BSE 500 index with reported five-session gains, showing a 21% rise over the period ending Oct. 30.
ETMarkets.com said roughly 18 companies in the index recorded gains across five consecutive sessions, while its article focused on eight whose returns ranged from 10% to 21%. The window covered Indian trading sessions from Oct. 26 through Oct. 30, 2026. Slides also show Divi’s Laboratories and Bank of Maharashtra up 8% apiece, but the outlet does not explain how the pair fits its eight-stock description.
Within the eight, Urban Company was up 15%, SJVN 13%, Sai Life Sciences 12% and NHPC 11%. Zydus Lifesciences, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and Gland Pharma each recorded a reported gain of 10%.
The Sensex closed Oct. 30 at 74,459.53 points. Its Oct. 23 close was 73,123.83, a gap of 1,335.70 points, or 1.83%. Across the five sessions, the index gained on Oct. 26, 29 and 30 and declined on Oct. 27 and 28.
HDFC Sky separately reported that technology and pharmaceutical stocks led the market’s gains on Oct. 30. Its report covered that session and did not link those sectors to the five-session moves in the stocks on the ACE Equity list.
ETMarkets.com did not name the closing-price series ACE Equity used or say whether it adjusted the reported returns. StockAnalysis’ BSE-listed history for Dr. Reddy’s shows a slight rise on Oct. 27, while its NSE-listed history records a 0.07% decline. That difference makes the screen’s unspecified price basis relevant to its claim of gains in each session. Historical price comparisons show exchange series can diverge day by day, so the reported streak and totals reflect ACE Equity’s calculation as relayed by ETMarkets.com.
