AI assistants may put forex broker names before users visit company websites, Pepperstone growth consultant Andy Francos and Wordflow founder and CEO Zay Yang said, potentially shaping which firms users consider.

Francos said a user seeking help choosing a broker may receive three or four names. Those suggestions can appear before the user reaches a brokerage website, placing AI responses early in the selection process.

Yang said a company's visibility can extend beyond its own website. “Most of your visibility isn’t on your site at all,” he said. Wordflow's monitoring tool scans ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews for brand appearances and source citations. The examples from Yang and Francos involved forex companies; they offer no evidence about AI recommendations for cryptocurrency exchanges. The reported remarks do not quantify how often individual forex firms appear in AI answers.
