With a Colombian acquisition complete, American International Group (AIG) has also agreed to acquire Everest Group’s Chilean subsidiary, extending the insurer’s reach across Latin America.
AIG completed the purchase of Everest Group’s Colombian insurance business on Oct. 30. The separate agreement covers the group’s Chilean insurance subsidiary.
AIG has operated in Latin America for decades, and the transactions add to its regional insurance presence.
