AMD said its first Helios rack-scale systems are running customer workloads as it projects Data Center will exceed 80% of revenue in 2027.

The outlook covers two different lines: AMD expects server revenue to double in 2027 and its Data Center AI business to grow faster than previously forecast. The 2027 revenue-share projection broadly matches the company’s earlier expectation of about 80% of sales. Chair and CEO Lisa Su said customer interest was strong and supply-chain conditions were favorable.

Data Center revenue set a record at $8.5 billion in the third quarter, a 97% rise from a year earlier. AMD’s overall revenue climbed 45% to $13.38 billion. The division supplied about 64% of total sales, and its growth rate was more than twice the companywide pace. These figures show how quickly data center products have become central to AMD’s revenue mix.

Helios pairs sixth-generation EPYC server processors with MI450-series Instinct GPUs in rack-scale systems. Production is underway. AMD has named Anthropic, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure among the organizations running workloads on early systems.

AMD estimates the total server CPU market could reach $220 billion by 2030. That figure covers the market across suppliers, rather than AMD’s projected sales. AMD competes with Intel in server processors and Nvidia in AI accelerators.

AMD’s next financial benchmark is a fourth-quarter revenue forecast of about $17 billion, an outlook EconoTimes covered earlier.
