INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 31, 2017 -- AOTMP University, a program for telecom management training and education, has surpassed major milestones in awarded certifications and enrollment for 2016. Created by AOTMP, global leaders in telecom management best practices and industry standards, AOTMP University was established in 2003 and is based on the Efficiency First® Framework; an approach that provides telecom professionals and vendors a disciplined, data-driven methodology to managing their fixed and wireless telecom environments.
The company reported 530 certifications awarded in 2016 and continues to see increased enrollment in 2017. In total, AOTMP has issued over 2,950 Specialty Certifications in areas such as Mobility, Contracts Management, and Telecom Management Strategy; and over 375 Professional Certifications ranging from Silver-level to Master-level experts. The training program has grown its geographic reach to provide telecom management education to countries outside of the U.S. and has reported that of the certifications issued to date, 50% have been awarded to telecom and IT professionals in the U.S. and 50% were awarded internationally.
In addition to hitting major enrollment and certification milestones in 2016, the organization’s research and development team has recently launched new courses on Optimizing Mobile Environments, M2M/IoT Mobility Services, and Optimizing Wireline Voice and Data Services. The organization is committed to cultivating new course material in 2017 as the landscape of enterprise telecommunications continues to change and evolve.
“There is, and continues to be, a rise in enterprise awareness of telecom management education as an effective way to streamline processes and contain costs within their telecom environments,” Timothy Colwell, AOTMP Senior Vice President, Efficiency First® Adoption, states. “As the telecom industry experiences rapid technology changes, AOTMP University provides a central source to help organizations and telecom/IT vendors optimize their company’s telecom environment and provides them with the knowledge base they need to help them adapt to those changes.”
