ASM International expects its 2027 revenue to exceed €5.7 billion, bringing the company's 2030 goal forward by three years as demand grows for equipment used in advanced chip production.

ASM said the 2027 projection is at constant currencies and would meet a target first announced at its September 2025 Investor Day. The company said the goal implied a compound annual growth rate of at least 12% from 2024 through 2030.

For the fourth quarter of 2026, ASM forecast revenue of €1.23 billion, plus or minus 5%, at constant currencies. Reuters reported that an LSEG poll put the average analyst estimate at €1.18 billion. ASM's guidance midpoint is above that estimate, while the bottom of its range is below it.

Revenue for the three months ended Sept. 30 totaled a record €1,159.4 million, up 45% from a year earlier as reported and 44% at constant currencies. ASM said advanced logic and foundry sales led the increase, alongside strong memory sales. The company also said investments in 1.4nm technology began making a solid contribution.

CEO Hichem M’Saad linked demand to spending on AI infrastructure and the resulting need for more chip capacity, particularly for leading-edge production. “Capacity remains tight across our customer base,” he said, adding that customers were moving quickly to increase output.

ASM expects full-year 2026 revenue to rise about 35% at constant currencies, with equipment revenue growth above 40%. For 2027, it sees advanced logic and foundry as the strongest growth driver, alongside strong memory growth. The company said supply-chain conditions were tightening as it prepared to increase shipments.

On Oct. 27, ASM's board authorized a share-buyback program of up to €300 million. The company cited its cash position and financial performance and said the program would return excess funds to shareholders.

ASM scheduled its third-quarter earnings call for Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 10 a.m. ET (14:00 UTC).
