Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited shares were down 0.97% in an Oct. 21 market snapshot after The Economic Times reported a morning move above their 20-day average.

Business Standard’s National Stock Exchange display put the Indian port operator’s shares at ₹1,748.80 at 6:01 a.m. ET (10:01 UTC), down ₹17.20 from the previous close of ₹1,766.00.

Earlier, at 12:10 a.m. ET (04:10 UTC), The Economic Times reported a price of ₹1,770.90, compared with a 20-day simple moving average of ₹1,768.33. The later quote was below the average cited in that report. Both readings were intraday snapshots.

The reported move followed two Oct. 19 intraday readings above the shares’ 100-day average. Those earlier readings did not establish whether the stock finished that session above the indicator.

In an Oct. 2 filing, Adani Ports reported handling 46 million metric tons of cargo in September, up 11% from a year earlier. Volume for the first half of fiscal 2027 reached 280 million metric tons, up 15%.

The company’s board is scheduled to consider unaudited results for the quarter and half year ended Sept. 30 at an Oct. 28 meeting. An investor call is set for 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 UTC) that day.
