The Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF) reported 305 member organizations on Oct. 22, expanding a forum for shared agent standards as its announcement gave two different counts for quarterly growth.
AAIF’s detailed table lists seven Gold, 33 Silver and 18 Associate members, adding to 58. The same announcement’s summary says 60 organizations joined during the quarter. The Linux Foundation’s previous update counted 247 members on Aug. 13; adding the detailed tally of 58 gives the newly reported total of 305. AAIF did not reconcile the two quarterly figures.
AAIF said Royal Bank of Canada, Nutanix, Vercel, Gates Foundation, Ant Group, Vultr and MongoDB joined the Gold tier. Its membership page lists Gold dues at $220,000 for organizations outside the Linux Foundation and $200,000 for existing Linux Foundation members. Silver dues vary by headcount, while eligible Associate members can join without a fee.
The Linux Foundation announced AAIF’s formation on Dec. 9, 2025. At launch, the foundation put three projects at the center of its work: Anthropic’s Model Context Protocol, Block’s goose and OpenAI’s AGENTS.md.
AAIF says it gives organizations a shared setting to develop open standards and improve interoperability among AI agents. Its announcement points to agents’ potential access to organizational data, ability to carry out transactions and interactions with other agents as areas that raise security, governance and accountability concerns.
“Open standards are how we answer those questions together, in the open,” said Mazin Gilbert, executive director of AAIF. The foundation says members can help shape standards and collaborate on open-source work.
The announcement came as AGNTCon + MCPCon North America was scheduled for Oct. 22-23 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.
