Jobs centered on managing people will have no future value as artificial intelligence changes work, Airbnb co-founder and CEO Brian Chesky said, while warning that workers resistant to change may struggle.

On the May 5 episode of Invest Like the Best, Chesky said, “I don’t think people managers will have any value in the future.”

He said managers should help direct the work, rather than confine their jobs to supervising employees.

Chesky framed the comments as his view of how workplace roles could change in the AI era.
