Airbus had delivered 621 commercial aircraft through October, leaving an approximate 249-aircraft gap to its 2026 target of around 870 as the planemaker enters the final two months of the year.

Airbus’ monthly delivery data showed 74 aircraft handed over in October, adding to the 547 delivered through September. The year-to-date total compares with 585 aircraft in the same period of 2025, an increase of about 6.2%.

Reaching the annual target would require about 249 deliveries in November and December. The gap is approximate because Airbus describes its goal as around 870. The company kept its delivery outlook unchanged in its nine-month results, covered in EconoTimes’ earlier report. Airbus said its forecast assumes no new setbacks affecting its delivery capacity, internal operations, supply network, air traffic, the economy or global trade.

For the first nine months, Airbus’ 547 deliveries were 72 above Boeing’s 475 commercial aircraft deliveries, according to Boeing’s third-quarter Form 10-Q. That comparison covers January through September; Airbus’ October deliveries brought its cumulative total to 621.
