The value of bilateral trade between the United States and China has been steadily growing, surpassing $555 billion in recent years. Accordingly, the need arises for a faster and cheaper payment system to revolutionize international remittances.
Align Commerce, a leading global payment provider focused on the small- and medium-sized business (SMB) community, has expanded to China and announced the establishment of its China corridor to enable businesses to easily send and receive payments to and from the country.
As a result of this expansion, both China and the U.S. will benefits from Align Commerce’s revolutionary ‘multi-rail technology’ that combines the blockchain with traditional payments, simple invoicing and real-time payments tracking.
As part of the promotional offer that marks the Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations as well as opening of the payments corridor, the company said that it will “ring in the Year of the Monkey” with an $8 USD flat fee, including foreign exchange fees, for all export-import payments to China from the U.S. for eight days. The promotion will run from Monday, Feb. 8 through Monday, Feb. 15.
“Align Commerce is excited to honor Chinese culture and tradition as we celebrate the Year of the Monkey,” said Marwan Forzley, CEO and co-founder of Align Commerce. “The number eight is traditionally a lucky number in Chinese culture, and we’re hoping to spread the luck around and help small business owners save some money with our ‘$8 for Eight Days’ promotion.”
Align Commerce is the first in its space to combine three payment rails together and create a Multi-Rail payment system. It is engaged in actively disrupting the traditional international payments industry by providing a cheaper, faster alternative for small businesses to make international payments with its proprietary technology, which utilizes the blockchain to send and receive money across borders and currencies.
