PHOENIX, March 07, 2016 -- Allpoint Network today announced that it has expanded access to surcharge-free Allpoint ATMs in Phoenix. Allpoint, the world’s largest surcharge-free ATM network, provides convenient cash access in 330 premier retail locations – now including all QuikTrip stores – throughout the Phoenix metro area.
At $3.15, Phoenix has the second-highest ATM surcharge fees in the country. If Phoenix residents use an out-of-network ATM once per week, they could spend more than $160 a year in ATM fees. Allpoint Network’s addition of all Arizona QuikTrip locations enables Phoenicians to conveniently access their money and avoid the surcharge fee.
To raise awareness of surcharge-free ATM access, the Allpoint Network will host a “Surcharge-Free Day,” offering Phoenicians and visitors surcharge-free access to all Allpoint ATMs in Arizona QuikTrip locations, regardless of their financial institution1. The Allpoint Network will also work alongside Councilman Bill Gates to inform residents and visitors of free events and activities throughout the city.
“The City of Phoenix is growing at a steady pace, and as the city expands, our job is to educate Phoenicians on the wealth of opportunities available for Phoenicians and visitors,” said Phoenix Councilwoman Laura Pastor. “As a part of this campaign, my team has worked with Allpoint to create an informational ‘Welcome to Feenix’ passport that maps out free activities in the City of Phoenix, including free events at the science center, trolley tours, yoga classes and more.”
“Our goal is to educate Phoenicians on the free and family-friendly ways to enjoy everything our city has to offer,” said Phoenix Councilman Bill Gates. “With this campaign, we’re supporting local businesses, the arts and culture, as well as the quality of life for all of our residents and visitors.”
Phoenix residents and visitors interested in connecting with the “Welcome to Feenix” campaign can:
- Now – March 13: Snap a “selfie” with a new Allpoint Network ATM at any Arizona QuikTrip and share it on Twitter with the @Allpoint handle and the hashtag #FeenixForTheWin. Participants will be entered for a chance to win a $500 or $50 gift card to QuikTrip.
- March 11 – March 13: Visit the Allpoint tent at the McDowell Mountain Music Festival for Allpoint Network giveaways and “Welcome to Feenix” information.
- March 14 – April 3: Share a photo that features a free event/activity with #FeenixForTheWin on Twitter, or reply with a photo to a designated Allpoint Network #FeenixForTheWin Facebook post for a chance to win a $500 or $50 gift card to QuikTrip.
“Allpoint Network’s mission has always been to provide consumers with convenient surcharge-free ATM cash access across the U.S. and beyond. The expansion of the Allpoint Network into all Arizona QuikTrip locations is a step in the direction of helping citizens more easily enjoy everything Phoenix has to offer,” said Bill Knoll, managing director, Allpoint Network. “We look forward to educating residents on the various ways to save money throughout the city, including avoiding ATM surcharge fees as a member of the Allpoint Network.”
