Indian actors Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi brought AI and deepfake risks to a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday, focusing attention on possible harm to performers, Gulf News reported.

Gulf News said the discussion also covered effects on the wider film community. The outlet attributed to Ram Charan the account that Shah welcomed the concerns and said the government would make the issue a priority, improve protections and respond to misuse.

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy attended the meeting at Chiranjeevi’s home in Hyderabad. Ram Charan later shared photos from the visit on Instagram, Gulf News reported.
