AngloGold Ashanti plc declared a $361 million interim dividend for the quarter ended Sept. 30, returning cash to shareholders as third-quarter free cash flow fell from a year earlier.

The distribution is 71 U.S. cents per ordinary share and is scheduled for Dec. 11. Nov. 27 is the record date for holders of its NYSE-listed shares and the ex-dividend date. The record date identifies shareholders eligible for payment; investors who buy on or after the ex-dividend date are not entitled to it.

The declaration takes dividends for the first nine months of 2026 to $1.31 billion, or $2.59 per share. AngloGold said its first-half dividend declarations totaled $949 million, compared with $469 million in the first half of 2025. EconoTimes previously covered the first-half payout alongside the company’s cash flow and production.

Third-quarter free cash flow was $722 million, down from $920 million in the year-earlier period. AngloGold said the dividend declaration reflected continued robust cash flow generation. The company also cited higher capital expenditure and taxes among factors behind the year-over-year reduction in free cash flow.

AngloGold ended Sept. 30 with $1.256 billion in net cash after paying $530 million in dividends during the third quarter. The company said it expected to provide exchange-rate details for South African shareholders on Nov. 20, ahead of the Nov. 27 NYSE dates and the scheduled Dec. 11 payment.
