Whatever anyone may say about “Apex Legends,” no one can argue that its developers have a good sense of humor. This is evidenced by the fact that they intend to keep trolling players with regards to a particularly despised gun in the game called the Mozambique. The timing of this revelation could not be better either since a new gun was just added to the game and it is awesome.
As Kotaku highlights, hardly anyone would admit to liking the Mozambique, even in the dark and only to themselves. It’s basically a high-risk weapon with plenty of the risks for very little returns. This “Apex Legends” shotgun basically fires small projectiles that all need to hit to inflict any notable damage. In response to a question regarding the gun, Sean Slayback of Respawn offered tips and a joking remark.
“Do you guys have any plans for the Mozambique?” a user asked on Reddit. “It feels very underwhelming at the moment.”
“Current plan is to keep enjoying the memes,” Slayback responded. “In the meantime, remember that ADSing chokes the spread down which makes it easier to hit that pattern. 2 to the chest, 1 to the head.”
For those who would rather use a gun that is actually effective, a new rifle called Havoc is now available for use in the game. Classed as an assault rifle, this new weapon fires energy projectiles, making it only the third in the game to do so. The new “Apex Legends” gun is also able to switch between semi-auto firing and full auto. This should make it an excellent addition to the arsenal that players can choose from.
As for what else the developers have up their sleeves regarding “Apex Legends,” it would appear that a hoverbike is coming. It’s also likely that there will be more guns added to the game in the future.
