Fans of the hugely popular team-based Battle Royale game “Apex Legends” have been asking for the “Apex Legends” Season 1 Battle Pass to be released. This is a rather strange turn from gamers who are usually averse to such things. In any case, it would seem that they will be getting their wish with the option coming to the game today. Alongside it will be a new character named Octane.
As GameSpot points out, Octane will not actually be part of the “Apex Legends” Season 1 Battle Pass launch. It just so happens that the update coming to the game will also include both of these offers. As such, fans simply have double the reasons to jump into the game as soon as possible. On the matter of what the actual Battle Pass will offer, weapons and skins will be the bulk of the feature.
Now, there are a few things that will need to be cleared up so that fans of the game won’t misunderstand what this new development involves. To start with, Octane will need to be purchased in order to be played. It works similar to MOBA games like League of Legends where starter characters are free but the rest will need to be bought. This goes for all future characters following “Apex Legends” Season 1 Battle Pass.
“Apex Legends” Season 1 Battle Pass will basically just be the first phase of the year-long plan that Respawn has for its game. The rest of the upcoming offers throughout this twelve-month period will involve adding more weapons, skins, and characters to the game. Purchasing the Battle Pass will net players plenty of loot, for sure, many of which will likely contain satisfactory goodies.
Suffice it to say, fans of the game will want to at least check out “Apex Legends” Season 1 Battle Pass before making a decision on it. Could this mark a turning point involving microtransactions?
